KIS Diploma Programme
global awareness & inclusive learning
Recognized for its academic excellence, the Diploma Programme integrates knowledge, creativity, and personal growth. Students graduate as well-rounded individuals ready to make meaningful contributions to society.
MORE experience
The Core includes three subjects unique to the IB. Theory of Knowledge (ToK) aims to make students aware of the nature of knowledge, including personal biases. The Extended Essay (EE) is an independent, self-directed piece of research, culminating in a 4000-word essay. Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS) enables students to enhance their personal and interpersonal development by learning through meaningful experience such as sport, service work, performance, or artistic expression.
MOREpossibilities
Our students achieve academic excellence and go on to pursue higher education at some of the world's most prestigious universities. With their strong foundation in the IB Diploma Programme and a commitment to lifelong learning, KIS graduates are equipped to excel in competitive academic environments.
MOREACADEMIC
The Diploma Programme is internationally recognized by universities who appreciate the programme for its academic breadth and depth. Students study six subject groups: Language and Literature, Language Acquisition, Individuals and Societies, the Sciences, Mathematics, and the Arts. Learners choose to study three subjects at higher level (240 hours) and three at standard level (150). All of these subjects allow students to make interdisciplinary links between them, and are drawn together by the Diploma Core.
MORE Global
All of these components of the DP encourage international-mindedness and enable students to become critical thinkers and independent lifelong learners. DP students are well-equipped with attributes and skills which will allow them to effectively participate in a rapidly evolving and increasingly global society.

Our alumni have secured placements at renowned institutions such as Cornell University, the University of Hong Kong, King’s College London, the University of Toronto, McGill University, University of Southern California, among many others. What Our Students Say
The International Baccalaureate places special emphasis on the different profiles a learner may develop, encouraging each student to be inquirers, risk-takers, and caring, among many other learner attributes. These are, in fact, the qualities I felt most supported in developing at KIS, which greatly aided me in becoming a school leader—whether through peer-to-peer mentoring in debate, starting the school's first recycling program as Eco-Committee President, or managing smaller tasks aimed at boosting morale and joy during challenging times, such as Covid, with the Morning Message weekly newsletter.
