KIS Celebrates Creativity at Visual Arts Exhibition Closing Ceremony

On Thursday, April 3rd, the KIS Basement Gallery came alive with color, concept, and creativity as we celebrated the Closing Ceremony of the IB Diploma Programme (DP) Visual Arts Exhibition. This special event marked the culmination of a two-year artistic journey for our Grade 12 students, who proudly presented their final body of work.

The exhibition showcased a rich variety of artworks, each carefully curated to reflect individual exploration of media, techniques, and deeply personal themes. From intricate paintings to striking sculptures and multimedia installations, every piece demonstrated not only technical proficiency but also the growth of each student as a thinker, communicator, and artist.

Accompanying the visual works were written curatorial rationales—thoughtful reflections that offered insight into the students’ intentions, processes, and creative decisions.

Guests—including parents, teachers, classmates, and members of the wider KIS community—had the opportunity to engage with the artists, ask questions, and appreciate the unique perspectives expressed through their work. The atmosphere was one of inspiration and celebration as we honored the dedication, vision, and hard work of our graduating DP Visual Arts students.

Congratulations to our young artists on this milestone achievement. We are proud of your growth and excited for what lies ahead in your creative journeys!
