Supporting Student Well-Being at KIS

At KIS, student well-being is a shared priority. The KIS counseling team supports students from Early Years through Grade 12, helping them develop the skills and confidence they need to thrive both in and beyond the classroom.

Through individual sessions, small group support, classroom lessons, and parent workshops, counselors work closely with students, families, and teachers to promote social-emotional growth and create a safe, supportive school environment.

In the Early Years and Primary Years Programme, counseling focuses on building strong social and emotional foundations. In Grades 6–9, students explore topics such as healthy relationships, conflict resolution, emotional regulation, and stress management, while the counseling team also leads important safeguarding and anti-bullying initiatives.

For students in Grades 10–12, support extends to university and career planning. This year, KIS introduced a new College and Career Readiness class, hosted five university fairs, and expanded opportunities for students to prepare for the admissions process and life beyond school.

At every stage, the KIS counseling team is committed to partnering with families to ensure students feel safe, supported, and ready for the future.
